Great restaurant. Very attentive service. Great food.

We have been visiting all the restaurants in the Würmtal and Oberland for decades. So we can safely form a judgment, a sure one .... We have been to Al Castagno a few times over the past 20 years. In between the owner wanted to sell, then he continued to run it himself. Too bad. The Ristorante itself is beautiful: an old patrician house, a wonderful summer garden and an interesting menu with various Italian specialties. The prices are quite high, the ambience and the service are accordingly dignified. The dishes are consistently well prepared, I would give it a grade 2. You actually feel like you're in Italy and can enjoy the dolce Vita Stockdorfs under the mighty chestnut trees for 2 hours. If not ... .... the completely impossible tones of the service and the host would be. The host's style is presumptuous and quite arrogant. The waitress in no way thanks you for a tip of 10 euros - the bill is simply wiped away. The four of us had a bill of 150 euros, we were in very good spirits ... but we won't let ourselves be messed up anymore ....! This has happened to our friends too, we go to friendlier restaurants in the area, which often offer better food for less money. And that with a smile and a lot of good humor!

The service takes a lot, or rather, a lot of time. Had to wait more than 40 minutes for the first drink. We have been trying to order the second drink for 20 minutes. Oh yes, there is of course nothing to eat yet. 2 stars because the weather is nice. Now only 1 star. Now the operation is also unfriendly. Not recommendable.

Hospitality is unfortunately a foreign word here. Instead of a "warm welcome" you are greeted with a "touch nothing". If you are not interested in the turnover of a larger group, we are happy to spend our money elsewhere. One S-Bahn station further you are served friendly, professional and very well.

Guests were rejected, "don't touch" "don't touch" when we tried to put together a 6-seater table instead of a 4-seater table. Masks were available. When asked, no clarification was given as to what the problem was. The waiter rejected a group of regular guests without reason and without any abnormalities. I therefore assume a fundamental character issue of the business as there was no other clarification. There was * no * aggression or further discussion by us. We're just turned around. I haven't seen it anywhere in the Munich region for 14 years. Pity!

Rude and not dependent on guests. If you come with more than 4 people you have to be plummed what you want here ... nothing to touch you say immediately ....

Unfriendly service and food unfortunately no more than average. Pizza is nothing special, has the level of a ready-made dough. Unfortunately, the ravioli dish also tasted like finished products. So far every Italian we visited was of better quality.

Great restaurant with a great chef and friendly and competent staff (waitresses and kitchen staff) who really have what it takes! I love going there for years and it is always very nice and above all delicious! Keep it up!

I have visited the restaurant a few times and I can not recommend it, as the staff was always very rude. Especially against children the staff behaved very unfriendly and did not even accept the children playing on the floor.

A very nice, honest restaurant owner. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff friendly and a cozy, pretty outdoor area. I can only recommend this Italian. Directly at the S Bahn station Stockdorf.
